Southwest Meat Association 68th Annual Convention & Suppliers Showcase
Our work weekend at Southwest Meat Association 68th Annual Convention & Suppliers Showcase was successful in so many ways. Our new creation Maeker's Brisket Mac n Cheese with Jalapeño Smoked Sausage took home the BEST OF THE WURST People’s Choice Award. We have been attending SMA for 4 years now and this our 2nd win!! 🙌 We go up against some heavy hitters in the sausage industry so this is a huge accomplishment for our small business!
Our son, Hunter, was awarded another SMA Foundation Scholarship. Their support of his college education each year has been invaluable. Hunter & Doug worked together along with our employees on this new creation of sausage so it was fun to see their hard work rewarded. Hunter is really growing in his interests for the business and in his interpersonal skills.
It was great to visit with our peers in the meat and sausage industry and have some fun and relaxation as well!
